Storage Tank Management

Regulated Aboveground Storage Tanks (ASTs) and Underground Storage Tanks (USTs) must meet the requirements of federal, state and local regulations.

The staff of Patriot Environmental Management have performed numerous closure and site assessment activities at properties throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut and New York. Our knowledge and understanding of the regulation and technical requirements allows us to steward the project through the regulatory compliance process.

In cases where a release is confirmed, Patriot Environmental Management has directed and supervised subsequent remedial activities. Patriot Environmental Management has the experience necessary to file claims with the applicable state and private insurance funds.

We also offer closure services for unregulated residential and commercial heating oil tanks. Although not regulated, the property owner is responsible under the Federal Clean Streams Law for any cleanup efforts necessary to remediate impacted soils and / or groundwater. The appropriate closure of these tanks may also remove potential environmental liability from the property that may impede a property transaction.
