Hudson S. Green, Jr.
Senior Environmental Consultant
Mr. Green is the President and Senior Environmental Consultant for Patriot
Environmental Management, LLC. His general responsibilities include
the development of new business, proposal writing, project management, communications
with state and federal agencies, and the development and implementation of
project scopes-of-work.
Experience:
Mr. Green has over 15 years of direct experience within the environmental
industry. The majority of this experience has been performed at the level
of Project Manager and Senior Environmental Consultant, responsible for the
performance of all project activities, supervision of subcontracted work
activities, and management of associated costs to insure that projects are
competed on time and within budgets. His expertise includes:
- Phase I Environmental Site Assessments conducted prior to property transactions
in accordance with ASTM Standard: E 1527-00.
- Brownfields investigation, remediation and development oversight within
regulatory supervision.
- Provided oversight and performed site characterization and remediation
in accordance with closure activities at several regulated storage tank
sites in Pennsylvania.
- Management and oversight of soil and groundwater investigations for sites
located in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Virginia, New Jersey, Maryland, New
York, West Virginia, and Connecticut.
- Performed Water supply development projects for industrial, municipal,
and residential clients. Projects included fracture trace analysis, well
placement, well logging, aquifer testing analysis and evaluation, and permitting.
- Designed and performed a Straddle Packer Testing program within fractured
bedrock to identify vertical extent of Volatile Organic Compounds within
a municipal supply well.
- Provided technical assistance to a municipal authority with regard to
a public water supply well being impacted as a result of groundwater contamination
migrating from a USEPA Superfund site.
Key Projects:
- Managed and directed a soil and groundwater investigation under Pennsylvania's
Land Recycling and Environmental Remediation Standards Act (Act2). Project
work included remediation of approximately 1000 tons of contaminated soils
using ex-situ Soil Vapor Extraction (SVE). The project was approved under
the Act 2 program using a Site Specific Standard for both soils and groundwater
impacted with Tetrachloroethene and Trichloroethene. The property was sold
at fair market value with a release from future cleanup liability.
- Provided
environmental management services for several bulk retail petroleum facilities
currently undergoing remediation. Management activities were performed
on behalf of a former property owner and included: reviewing and providing
technical comments on reports and written communications; and attendance
at technical meetings to determine the best course of suction for each
site.
- Managed several key properties in various stages of remedial action
for a single client. The management included selection of project consultants,
review and approval of professional reports for submission to regulatory
authorities, and negotiations with regulatory authorities to expedite closure.
- Obtained
closure of several Class V Injection Wells located in Long Island, New
York. The Closure involved preparation of a work plan for USEPA approval,
Sampling and analysis, and final closure reporting.
- Performed site investigation
activities to characterize, and evaluate remedial activities and a petroleum
facility in York, Pennsylvania.
